Since memories began the native peoples of this country fought each other. They formed alliances and dissolved them as the need arose. A great deal of the fighting was over territory encroachment or the need to hone their skills. With few exceptions, the Indians did not recognize the need to join together to fight the European Invaders since the natives were much superior warriors. Also tribal customs, legends and lifestyles were too different to form lasting alliances.
Some did, so you have that idea wrong. It is just that American history books doesn't cover Native American history entirely and only gives the student bits and pieces. This reflects some the of European view of history and delegates Native Americans into second class citizens. A good example of this is the story of the Jamestown colony. When the settlers arrived in the New World there was more than 14,000 Native Americans in an empire called Tsenacomoco. The chief of the empire was Powhatan and it covered 8,000 square miles. His sphere of influence stretched from the Potomac to Cape Henry ( find a map to see this empire). This is just one example of Native American history that has been ignored or changed. There are several books you can read that will give you a better feel for this history. Get Black Elk Speaks,Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee, and learn about how Red Cloud governed his people. There is also a bit of history that is never mentioned and that is the largest mass hanging in US history in 1861 at Ft. Laramie and it had to do with what happened to the Dakota Sioux.
That was not their way of life. Many Indian tribes were nomadic so as not to leave scars on Mother Earth.
Most Native American tribes understood that the land could only support a certain number of people before it began to enter a stage where it would not renew its resources.
They weren't strong enough to conquer any empire or to form a empire
Because the Aztecs and Inca kept invading, conquering and killing them.
Aztec and Inca
They wiped out the Aztec but i can't figure out what the other one was!
the Aztec
They were spanish conquistadors that conquered great native american empires. The Aztec's, and Inca's respectively.
The Spanish explorers of the 1500's encountered the Native American Aztec Empire and the Native American Inca Empire. Both empires were subjugated by the Spanish conquistadors. It was discovered that these empires valued gold and silver the same way Europeans did so tons of gold and silver were stolen and shipped back to Spain.

The Aztec Empire was mainly in Mexico and is generally considered to be a Meso-American culture.
Not just them, but any native American culture that was contacted by Europeans.
Yes. o_O
the Aztec
I think it was the Aztec Native Americans.
Smallpox is the disease that caused the death of Native Americans. The Spanish conquistadors brought it from Spain, and the Native Americans, not having an immunity to it, died when the Spanish invaded the Aztec capital. This helped the Spanish defeat the Aztec capital and take over what is known today as Mexico.Bubonic Plague
