When Napoleon conquered Italy, Naples, Spain and Switzerland he knew what to do. He overthrew these countries so he could expand his empire and become the leader of Europe. He placed his family members at the head of these countries so he could focus on war and not worry about anyone rebelling against him. He wanted to create a legacy under Bonaparte families rule and put him on top.
