NO , It is part of our world History events. One of the most Cruel that I can ever imagine involving so many lives that ended for no reason. Remembering it ; at least give a little bit of reasurrance that the world and all generations will know what happened and understand their pain. I think that history is the past ;and that the past somehow define the future. No matter if it is a group or an individuals' life. We are who we are because the past plays a very active rol in who we are today. For this reason The Holocaust can't be forgotten and should not be. History happens every second of you'r life, for example, as soon as I give you this answer, it will be history. We should care about history because it is part of our life, memories mostly. History is all the past stuff that has happened in you'r life. It may be bad history, it may be good. That's what history is.
History is important, but not so much that it will be my main focus. So, it happened in the past, let's learn from it and move on. Sometimes I think history is too drawn out, and we should focus on the lessons we can learn for the future, not all the tiny dates and names.
Americans should not forget the importance of civic engagement and participation in democracy, as each individual's voice contributes to shaping the nation. They should also remember the lessons of history, including the struggles for civil rights and social justice, to avoid repeating past mistakes. Additionally, fostering empathy and understanding across diverse communities is crucial for unity and progress. You need to spend some time together before you talk to him about things that went wrong, give him the good times that you had and bring him back to remember the memories that he enjoyed, after he really remembers what happened then talk to him about it and speak about how you have matured and whats happened since and how that makes you feel. If he really loves you and you feel the same then he should understand that the things that happened are the past and that who you are is what he loves.
