"Asia for Asians" was a slogan used in Propaganda campaigns across Asia by the Japanese Empire immediately prior to, and throughout, the Second World War.
It was intended to promote anti-Western feelings in Asian countries. As most Asian countries had (at that time) European or American imperial overlords, the slogan was created to encourage native Asian populances to side with the Japanese.
It was particularly cynical, since the idea was to encourage the native population to resist European/American rule, but the actual Japanese policies were not to help Asian counties become independent, but to instead conquer those countries for Japan. Thus, while the slogan may appear to promote national self-determination (a good thing), the policies behind it were merely to replace European or American Imperialism with Japanese imperialism.
In current times, the slogan is sometimes used by xenophobic ultra-nationalists in a variety of different countries. Xenophobia is a very bad thing in the modern, highly interconnected world, with ultra-nationalism even worse.
same as everybody....unless your talking about asians in asia....
Asia for the asians
Most Asians live on the continent of Asia. In particular they reside in the two most populated countries on earth, India and China. These are both Asian countries.
Asians are people how live in or whose families come from Asia, a very large place. All Koreans are Asians, but not all Asians are Koreans. There are many other Asians. Asians who are not Koreans would include Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotians, Tibetans, Burmese, Thais, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Indians, Pakistanis, and others.
Chinese refer to people from China or have ancestors whom originate from China. Asians are people who are from Asia. While Chinese are asians, asians are not necessarily Chinese.
no that would be Asia lol
Eskimos are the same race as the East Asians (ex. Chinese, Japanese). By the strict term, meaning inhabitant of Asia, none of them are Asians, except for the Yupik. The rest are in America.
in Asia
No. If you are from the country India (which is in Asia) you are Indian, and if you are from the continent Asia, you are an Asian. Indians are Asians, however.
