It was in the late 1800's by Philippe Matek.
Patek Philippe invented the wristwatch in 1868. Pocket watches are even older; they were invented in 1510 by German locksmith Peter Henlein.
The first mechanical alarm clock was invented by Levi Hutchins of Concord, New Hampshire, in 1787.
In 1801, Eli Terry was granted a patent on an equation clock. This was the first patent for a clock mechanism that was ever granted by the United States Patent Office.
A clock is an instrument used to indicate, keep, and co-ordinate time.
The earliest clock was sundial along with water clock which were widely used in ancient age.
The bowl-shaped outflow is the simplest form of a water clock and is known to have existed in Babylon and in Egypt around the 16th century BC.
This is the earliest example of clock.
Not until somewhat recently (that is, in terms of human history) did people find a need for knowing the time of day. As best we know, 5000 to 6000 years ago great civilizations in the Middle East and North Africa began to make clocks to augment their calendars. With their attendant bureaucracies, formal religions, and other burgeoning societal activities, these cultures apparently found a need to organize their time more efficiently. The clock is one of the oldest human inventions to enable us to judge how long a process has run. As the seasons and the phases of the moon can be used to measure the passage of longer periods of time, shorter processes had to be used to measure off hours and minutes. The word 'clock' comes from the French word "cloche" meaning bell. The Latin for bell is glocio, the Saxon is clugga and the German is glocke. The first mechanical alarm clock was invented by Levi Hutchins of Concord, New Hampshire, in 1787. However, historical records reveal that approximately 5000 to 6000 years ago great civilizations in the Middle East and North Africa began to make clocks to enhance their calendars. These cultures found that they needed to organize their time more efficiently. Originally candles and sticks of incense that burn down at approximate predictable speeds were used as to estimate the passage of time. Other methods were sundials and hourglasses. The development of electronics in the twentieth century led to clocks with no clockwork parts at all. Time in these cases is measured in several ways, such as by the vibration of a tuning fork or the behaviour of quartz crystals. Now mechanical clocks have since come to be largely powered by batteries, removing the need for winding.
The oldest type of clock is a sundial clock, also called a sun clock. They were first used around 3,500 B.C. (about 5,500 years ago). Sundials use the sun to tell the time. The shadow of the sun points to a number on a circular disk that shows you the time.
There are many types of clocks. The first would have the sun dial. If you put a stick in the ground, when the shadow is the shortest, that is local apparent noon. That is the time that the sun is the highest point that it will be all day.

The first poket watch was made in 1761 by John Harrison. The first wrist watch ever made was at the dawn of the 20th century. These wrist watches were only worn by women. All men still used pocket watches. It was only until the first world war that when the soldiers needed to use wrist watches (it would be impossible to take a pocket watch out of there pocket in battle) that men started to wear wrist watches. Half a century after men started wearing wrist watches did anyone invent digital watches.
Cyma Watches was created in 1862.
There is a big difference between modern day watches and older watches. Specifically, older watches were usually of a better quality because they were made with nicer materials. New watches tend to be made of cheap parts that fall apart after a short period of time.
The wrist watch was invented by Louis Cartier and Hans Wilsdorf in 1904. Cartier still makes some of the best and most expensive watches in the world.
In 1918, a Swiss watchmaker named sand slave

Peter Henlein invented the Pocket watch.
No, because watches weren't invented yet. yes they did they were just very scarce
Benjamin Banneker invented wooden watches
The first portable watches were invented in the 16th century. The earliest known watch dates back to 1530s and gradually evolved from spring-powered clocks.
There is no such thing as a ben10 real watch. There are toy watches.
No touch screen watches have not been invented.
Benjamin Banneker did not invent wooden watches. He was known for his contributions in astronomy, surveying, and publishing almanacs. There is no historical record of him inventing wooden watches.
People often come in contact with water. And people often bring watches with them. Meaning watches can easily get wet. It's better if they survive that w/o breaking.
