People eat cranberries at Thanksgiving because they are a food that would have been served at the first Thanksgiving, which is commemorated on Thanksgiving Day each November. The early settlers would have used cranberries to preserve their meat.

A Thanksgiving Day meal is usually a large meal with a turkey and stuffing, cranberries, other side dishes (mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, baked beans, green beans, gravy, etc.), bread or rolls, and pumpkin pie and/or other desserts.
Leftovers from the big feast. Turkey is at the top of the list. There might be stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries, squash and pumpkin pie, to name a few.
Thanks giving day last from 12AM to 1159PM usually food is eaten between 1pm and 6pm
