Yes, the door handle is loose on one side of the door.
To fix a loose or malfunctioning door handle, you can tighten the screws on the handle or the strike plate, replace the screws with longer ones if needed, or adjust the latch mechanism. If the handle is still not working properly, you may need to replace it with a new one.
Sounds like you left a retaining clip loose on one of the pull rods.
No, it is not safe to operate a garage door with a loose cable on one side. This can cause the door to become unbalanced and potentially lead to accidents or damage. It is important to have the cable repaired by a professional before using the garage door.

The plastic on the inner handle has broke. One of the plastic gears just replace the actual handle (hard to find) get at a junk yard.
Open the door, and look at the door in the area that is above the latch. there is one bolt that looks out of place... remove it, and then pivot the handle out and away from the side the bolt was located (towards the front of vehicle if on left side, etc) then before pulling out, look at the old one, and take note of how the handle is attached, so that you can attach to the new one in the same mannor.

unscrew the inside door panel then unbolt old handle install new one . i recommend you spend a few more dollars and get the good handle it is worth it
This is not a big project. Just remove the screws that hold the interior door handle on. Then there is one screw behind the plastic cover in the interior door side of the mirror. Once you have removes these screws there are several pop in clips that hold the panel on. Just start at the bottom of the door and pop them out by hand. The only thing left to remove is the linkage that connects to the inside handle. This can be done by popping them loose with a screwdriver. It's really not a hard job. Good Luck
The plastic fitting connecting the rods is probably broken. visit the breakers to get a new one
