Actually, Henry VIII received several injuries, while riding, jousting, playing tennis and Archery. He injured his foot, while playing tennis, another incident, he injured his leg when he was thrown from his horse (his mare was spooked, while he was hunting). During a jousting match, he failed to lower the visor to his helmet, and his opponent's lance hit him in the head, causing an injury just over his right eye, which became the source for later migraines.

The most serious injury, ended all his recreational activities. Again, while jousting and in full armour, he was thrown from his horse and his horse then fell and landed on him. He injured his head during the fall, causing him to remain unconscious for 2 hours.
