Queen Victoria had a number of pets throughout her life, from canaries to dogs, horses etc.

Evidently Queen Victoria was a devoted dog lover, owning as many as 15 different breeds throughout her life. Pomeranians seem to have had a special place in her heart

Queen Victoria brought back Marco, a Pomeranian, from a visit to Italy in 1888 and at one time had 35 of the breed in the royal kennels. In 1891 she showed six of the dogs at Cruft's - Fluffy, Nino, Mino, Beppo, Gilda and Lulu.
