Fidel Castro is indrectly or directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of people in Cuba. He could even be held responsible for more if you include the people who died during Cuba's involvement in international conflicts in Africa and other Latin American nations. Castro allowed many Cubans to be sent to firing squads with little or no proof of them having done anything wrong. He is the leader of a government that is intolerant and gives people very little freedom at all. He refuses to acknowledge the widespread poverty and racism that cause ordinary Cubans to suffer. He is the only leader in the Western world that abolished Christmas as a national holiday at one time. That in itself should tell you something...
