To start a conversation with a client on a call effectively, begin by greeting them warmly and professionally. Introduce yourself and your role, then ask how they are doing. Follow up with a brief agenda for the call to set expectations. Listen actively to their responses and show genuine interest in their needs. Ask open-ended questions to encourage dialogue and build rapport.

You call the first person. Then you start dialing the other persons number and hit send and if they answer again you hit send and you have your 3- way conversation
It depends on the situation and it depends on the jurisdiction. I will answer as a PI in Georgia. It is legal in Georgia to record a conversation if you are a party to the conversation. So the phone call could be recorded if the PI or the PI's client (or another consenting party of the conversation) gives their permission. It is illegal for anyone (PI or not) to record a convesation if they are not a party in that conversation.
