Good question. I've been flying for four years now. I passed exams through the Royal Aviation and assended from there. Anyway, a pilots hourly wage varies significantly depending on several factors ie, size of aircraft, which company, passenger or cargo, long haul etc. However, in general the larger the aircraft/ airline, the more your likely to earn respectively. A junior first officer flying a small Beech 1900 at a Midwest commuter airline earns as little as £10.00 an hour ($16.00) whereas the most senior captain at a major airline flying a Boeing 747 around £110 an hour ($178).
Annual income- a pilot employed with a small regional airline can expect to earn as little as £18.000 a year but if you fly for one of the major airlines you can expect £38.000 - £48.000 a year. If you are a 'long haul' pilot (England to Australia like myself, you may be looking at around £140.000 a year.
Note, it takes an awful lot of study and dedication to train in this fied ie, degree in maths and physics, and over 30000 hours of flying under close supervision but if you or anyone else were looking into persueing a career in this field, good luck.. its all worth it in the end!
Yes, a propane pilot light produces as much carbon dioxide per hour as a human being does per hour. Both human respiration and burning propane release carbon dioxide as a byproduct of the combustion process.
