There is no such thing as Islamic terrorism, it is a made up term. Islam and terrorism are two separate things. If you are a terrorist, you can't be a Muslim because Islam doesn't allow terrorism. So as the term Islamic terrorism doesn't exist, nothing caused it. Terrorism as a term exists on its own and its caused by greed, power and wanting to degrade Another Country or religion.
It is very amazing that when Muslims resisting occupants of their lands they are called by media and westerners Muslim terrorists. However, when non Muslims commit massacres against Muslims, those non Muslims are called defending themselves. Recall the massacres happened to Muslims in Bosnia, in Lebanon, in Palestine, in Chechen, ... . I doubt that you can find one single example of a massacre done by Muslims to non Muslims. Think deliberately and fairly who are the real terrorists in this world.

Different civilizations have different ideals, beliefs, and attitudes, which may not be compatible with those of other civilizations, so when two civilizations encounter each other in some manner (immigration, war, the internet, etc.) there can be a conflict that results. We can call it a clash of civilizations.

It depends on who you ask. According to Sam Huntington, who proposed the idea of "Clash of Civilizations", the answer would be "Yes". Israel is one in a series of conflicts near the edges of Islamic control, an area he calls "Islam's bloody borders". Huntington considers Israel a culturally Western State which would be diametrically opposed to an Islamic State. Many people contest the idea of a Clash of Civilizations, especially when Huntington considers all of Sub-Saharan Africa one civilization. (Either this does not take into account the wide variety of cultures operating there or assumes Africans to have a "natural tendency to violence".) The different civilization-types fail to take into account the wide variety of cultural uniqueness in each "civilization". Tunisia and Libya are almost completely different worlds, but are neighbors and members of the "Islamic Civilization". Therefore, people who disavow the idea of Clash of Civilizations do not believe the Arab-Israeli Conflict is part of that. There are also a minority of people who believe Israel to be part of a Middle Eastern "Semitic Civilization" with its neighbors. These groups say the relative weight of religion, propensity of Israeli War Leaders to have a hand in politics, and the Occupation of the West Bank Territories is more reminiscent of an Arab State than a European State. Therefore, in their opinion, the Arab-Israeli Conflict is an intra-civilizational conflict.
The Clash of Civilization is a theory that the religious and cultural identities of a person will be a main argument in the Cold War world. Samuel Huntington, a political scientist, proposed this theory in a lecture in 1992.

The media and the west clearly seem to be against Islam, which is why Islam is so negatively portrayed by the media. The main reason is that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and the west seem to be afraid of it growing any further.
Answer ASince all pocket civilizations are moving towards a unified civilization, clash is unlikely. Answer BFrom Islam side, the answer is NO Per Quran, Muslims holy book, people were created by God to live together in peace, love, and tolerance; irrelevant to their cultures, colors, faiths, or genders; and that their superiority in front of God is based only on their piety. Accordingly, Islam never initiates clash with any civilization whatsoever. Refer to related question below.
Huntington's thesis refers to Samuel P. Huntington's theory of the "Clash of Civilizations," which posits that cultural and religious differences between civilizations will be the primary source of conflict in the post-Cold War world, rather than ideological or economic differences. It suggests that conflicts will arise due to differences in civilizations rather than other factors.
A "Clash of Cultures" occurs any time that two civilizations that have very different ideological make-ups and value sets interact. The Spaniards and the Aztecs could not be more different in terms of their religious beliefs, their values, their localized histories, and their personal narratives.
