A manual transmission civic is more fuel efficient than an automatic transmission. That goes for just about any car.

You bought a hybrid and now want more power. More power and excellent fuel mileage do not go together. Sell this Civic Hybrid and then buy a car with more power. Otherwise there is not much you can do to gain any amount of power you will really feel.

The engine has the same power no matter the transmission. However with an automatic transmission more of the available power is lost due to the torque converter and the transfer of fluid to torque. You must shift it yourself.
