Most landlords check back at least two years, some check as far back as seven years.
Some do not check at all.
Generally the more high rent the place is the more thoughlhly they will check.
Never heard of "drive-a-check." If you actually mean a drivers record check, it can go as far back as the person conducting the check wants to go.
