Not exactly, The Leucochloridium paradoxum is a parasite that normally takes over snails brain to put itself out in the open to be eaten by another animal such as a bird, or any type of animal, It takes control over all the basic functions of the host such as the need to eat. And in some cases of people that had eaten infected snails or animals that were infected with the Leucochloridium paradoxum became violent and some went into a rage killed their own kind or any other animal just to feed on their flesh or blood. Not for the human. But for the parasite living with in it. And if your wondering about if a virus could be made that takes over a human and turns them into a zombie then You would probably have to mix multiple RNA viruses and a virus to first kill the victim (Such as Ebola virus) Then a new type of revival virus that revives the host. But then it still wouldn't be complete. You would have to inject this new strain over virus into the Leucochloridium paradoxum then inject it into a human. Therefore in a couple of weeks creating a type of zombie, For the RNA Spreading virus you would probably want to use Hepatitis B. Because if the first host bites another human or animal it would infect the other person by the same means that Hepatitis B infects people today, Bodily fluids. I think that with the added cannibal effect that makes the host want to feed and bite into another human or animal is combined with other RNA virus IF the person bit hard enough to draw blood his or her saliva would contain the parasite and virus therefore infected them. Causing a mass, Real life plausable virus. But it would most likely be easily cureable. And it would take 7-14 Days to turn someone into a mindless zombie, Not the 5 minute effect you see in Horror films. Hope this helped :)
