1. 4 year degree in forensic science
2. you have to be mentally and emotionally strong.
3. TV shows are know for making the job look glamores but it is all a false show (cool to watch)
4.You don't have to be a sworn police officer to get in... its just prefered.

CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) agents take pieces of evidence from a crime scene (anything from clothes and undergarments or pictures to various weapons) and subject them to a variety of chemical, physical and analytical tests to see know the who's, what's, where's and why's of that crime scene.
CSI is a fictional group. Most police department investigators do not normally wear a uniform, but may wear coveralls (sometimes disposable coveralls). Some crime scenes are very messy.
Impossible quesion to answer. The two professisons are not even remotely connected or comparable to one another.
