It was rumored that Charles Manson tried out for Monkees, but this was not true. He wrote song and one of them wasn't written for The Beach Boys, but "Never Learn Not To Love" (on the Beach Boys' 20/20 album) was indeed written by Charles Manson, and for a brief time in 1968, about a year before the Tate-LaBianca murders, Manson and Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson were acquaintances.
When Manson failed to sway the parole board in 2007 it was his 11th try for release. His next hearing will take place in 2012, at which time he will be 77 years old.
I would try the publisher which is Straight Arrow Publishers, San Francisco CA. The Rolling Stone, which is an American icon was started by Jann Wenner in 1967 (Wenner is still publisher). The Charles Manson issue was one of the biggest sellers in the magazines history. If you can find it, buy it, it is probably worth some money.
No just because a band dresses like that and decides to play the music they do it doesn't mean they are devil worshippers try googling Marilyn Manson if you wanna even see a glimpse of that,,,
MANSON'S ADDRESS: Charles Manson, B-33920 4A 3R 14L P. O. Box 3476 Corcoran, CA 93212 Charlie gets a ton of mail and can only answer a small fraction of it so don't feel bad if you don't get a letter in response to what you write. Send some good energy out to Charlie! The people who run the prisons are jealous of the positive support which Manson gets from his friends and will do anything to discourage it, and in doing so, try to make Manson feel like he has no friends. When you write to Manson.... DO: Be yourself; don't say things because you think it's what Manson wants to hear. If you can, send him postage paid envelopes (printed, not holographic). Include your return address within the letter itself. DON'T: Do not send books, magazines, stamps, cash, posters, polaroid photos. Also, don't send clothing, cassette tapes, CDs, pens or pencils. If in doubt, don't send it - he probably won't get it. This "do's & don't" list is NOT complete or definitive. The prison is playing all sorts of games with Manson's mail. Wilson would have had to be paralyzed from the neck up not to understand how dangerous Manson was. In fact, Wilson abandoned his expensive beachfront home in Malibu, rather than try to have Manson evicted. What began as a friendly gesture on Wilson's part, inviting Manson and his chums to stay at his home for a few days, ended months later with Wilson finding a new residence and considered himself lucky that all that was lost was a piece of real estate. Long after Manson and family had vacated Wilson's Malibu home, Wilson was still keeping a very low profile and with good reason. The word got back to Wilson that Manson was angry at the Beach Boy due to record producer Terry Melcher's reluctance to sign Manson for a record deal. In true Manson style, he claimed he was going to kill Melcher and Wilson, claiming they renigged on the record deal. In fact, Wilson only promised Mason he would ask Melcher to listen to Manson, not offer him a recording contract. Wilson and Melcher fulfilled their end of the deal. In hindsight, both Wilson and Melcher were incredibly lucky to escape with their lives.
As far as anybody knows, Manson's murders were mainly on the West coast, mostly in Southern California. Manson and his followers wandered up and down the west coast from below L.A. to Washington state. There are always unsolved murders and missing persons that are never found, so who knows. You can't hang a man on speculation.
Manson's early life was a study in neglect and abuse. In and out of juvenile facilities beginning at the tender age of 9, Manson was abandoned repeatedly by his underage prostitute mother. When he wasn't in juvenile lock-ups he was passed from one relative to another, on occation he landed back with his mother, however briefly. To say that he was a career criminal is an understatement. There is almost no crime that Manson didn't try at least once. It was just a matter of time before his lessor crimes became murder. Prior to the Tate-LaBianca killings in 1969, Manson had been rejected as a musician by a record producer, ruining his plans for fame and fortune in the music industry. Anger, drugs and his connection to an occult group called The Process, Manson was a disaster waiting to happen. His unstable personality finally pushed him over the edge.

yes try different things
I'm not exactly sure if this is a question about crime or religion, but I'll give it a try. Manson wasn't demonised nor was he a demon. He was an abused and neglected child that made him an angry and dangerous adult. But we can't blame God for what Manson did. God gave us free will, and then he instructed us on how to use that free will. He wrote it all down in a book we know as the Bible. It was not God's job to intervene, it was ours, mankind's. We really are our brother's keeper. God gave us a world. He gave us free will. And he gave us each other. Then he gave us the instruction manual in the form of the Bible. He even made it simple for us. Moses brought the tablets down off Mt. Sinai with the 10 rules for life. These little rules are often refered to as the 10 Commandments. It is a little difficult to see the resemblence between Jesus and Charles Manson. That's a bit of a stretch even for the most active imagination. Christ was the giver of life, Manson was the destroyer. Big difference in my book.
