After Henry Furman was guilty, he was sentanced to 20 years in prison instead of a death sentance

------

Actually, there is much more to it.

I am the son of the man whom Furman murdered. I have never spoken out before now. But the truth is, Furman was not in our home that night to burglarize the Micke home because my mother told me that we were very poor and had nothing of value. However, there were teen aged girls in the house. My mother always held the belief that Furman was there for something other than burglary. I'll let you use your imagination.

Back to the question.... Furman was released from prison in the late 1990's. Just a few years ago, he went back to prison. He had broken into another person's home. He was found in the home and he was found to have a pair of a little girl's panties in his pocket. He had gotten them from the home he had broken into.

That is all I know for now. The man seems to have multiple problems.

I regret that my father had to die to protect my sisters. I was only 4 months old when this man took my father's life. I never knew him. I forgive this man for what he has done. Do I wish he had received the death penalty? As a conservative and a Christian, I don't know if I agree with the death penalty. "An eye for an eye" was meant to reduce violence, not to increase it. Regardless, for murdering my father, and in light of the fact that he has continued to commit crimes, I wish they had kept him in prison.
