∙ 7y agoIn a move to specifically ban the Amstel Stryker, Protecta, and copies of them, any shotgun with a fixed magazine with a capacity of more than 10 rounds. This legislation was put in place specifically to target those shotguns. The reason you can get magazines with such capacities for the Saiga shotgun is because they were never considered - when the reclassification was made in 1999, the Clinton ban - which, among other things, prohibited the sale of magazines with more than a 10 round capacity to civilians - was in effect, and the supporters of the bill - who probably expected Al Gore to win in 2000 and make the Clinton ban permanent - simply did not anticipate them.
