Police drivers have certain specific exemptions such as speed limits and keep left signs. There are also specific things that they should not do such as contravene a double white line system. Generally though there is a catch all policy that police drivers are exempt from normal laws/regulations on the condition that if by complying with those regulations the purpose for which the police vehicle is being used would be hampered. This does not however allow police drivers to drive in a dangerous manner.
Yes, police officers are required to obey the law just like any other citizen. They are responsible for upholding and enforcing the law, and are not above it. If they break the law, they can be held accountable like anyone else.
Of course the police have to obey the law. The laws that are made are made by the government and the police are just workers for the government. Let's put it this way, we have to listen to our boss or we'll get fired. Just like that, the police have to obey the laws or they will get fired and/or worse. Think about the consequences. Plus do you think that if they murdered someone that it would be alright, just because they are police?

However understand that because they are police if you tick them off and they do shoot you they can use their office and their brotherhoods of the law for protection. The penalty for shooting or assaulting you is often suspension or being fired where you and I would go to prison. They can also excuse just about anything with the excuse that you were "disobeying a police officer". If you don't believe that look up getting arrested for refusing to sign a ticket. They can destroy or take your property at will, just try to film them and you'll see what I mean. The truth is legally they are required to obey the same laws. They're just allowed to interpret those laws however they wish because they have the guns. Violence is power, it does solve almost all problems. When the police become the problem they win because they carry the tools of violence on their duty belt. When's the last time you saw first aid supplies on a duty belt?
They are not supposed to, although there are circumstances where they can, e.g., certain emergencies or life-or-death situations.
However, if it is for deliberate malicious acts? NO.
THEY MAY BE ABLE TO AS LONG AS ITS NOT SERIOUS
of course, even when law enforcement vehicles are driving at Code 3, they must still be cautious of the safety of other drivers around them.
Willful obstruction of law enforcement refers to intentionally interfering with or hindering the efforts of law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties. This could include actions such as refusing to obey police commands, physically resisting arrest, or providing false information to hinder an investigation. Penalties for this offense vary by jurisdiction but can include fines, imprisonment, or both.
Rodney King was charged with speeding, driving while intoxicated, and refusing to obey a police order on the night of his beating.
Obey is present tense. I/We/You/They obey He/She/It obeys
In Australia, police officers are expected to abide by the law and are subject to oversight and accountability mechanisms, including internal disciplinary procedures and external bodies like police integrity commissions. The law prohibits excessive use of force by police officers, and instances of police brutality can be prosecuted under assault or misconduct laws. Additionally, individuals who believe they have been subjected to police brutality can make complaints to relevant oversight bodies.

Because if no-one obeyed the police/the law then the world would be in chaos.
The police should obey the law just like everyone else.
