The state of being pregnant is generally not accepted as an excuse to get out of jury duty. Unless you have a note from your physician. If the trial is likely to last through your due date, you might be let off. Otherwise, you may be asked to serve.

The rules vary by location, but in general, being pregnant does not automatically excuse you from jury duty. However, you may be able to request a postponement or exemption depending on your circumstances. Check with your local jury duty office for specific guidelines.

If you are summoned, you may call the number provided and ask if you have to attend, given your condition. They will probably say that you have to show up.

When you do, the Judge will ask if there are any of you who feel that you should not have to serve, or cannot serve. Then you explain your condition.

The attitudes of Judges towards those called to serve varies widely. In general, they do not like excusing people simply for the people's convenience.

Try then to get a note from your doctor, saying that sitting for extended periods - an hour or more - is harmful to you. That should help. Not a guarantee...but pretty close.
