Chaotic, ruthless and dangerous.
Society would break down.
People all say at one time or another that they would favor having no laws but don't believe it. Think, and I mean really think about all the laws we have. Now, think about all those times the Cops get called...fights, loud noise, dogs barking (I love this one...what can they do about the dog...duck tape it???), kids, parties, bars, shop lifting, stealing, medical emergencies....you can go on & on until you are blue in the face. No laws.
No common sense, no curbing ridiculous actions....for example, what stops a grocery store from selling a case of H20 during a Hurricane/Blizzard or other serious disaster at an exorbitant price? You think its because they couldn't get the $$ for it? How about when the sewers get flooded in your Town/City...who is going to come out and take care of that without laws in place? Say, Let's all go throw our batteries & leftover paint into the Town/City water supply sources...NO? Yeah, I didn't think so. Most people do not realize how much LAW is needed to make it just on an every day basis, so that each & every one of us can have some resemblance of a normal life. Think about what you do every day from start to finish and you will see how much LAW affects your life.
Another Perspective:Without written laws there is natural law. In the absence of man-made laws, individual men make the law; anarchy ensues. Eventually, people eliminate those things that annoy them the most, and only one remains. In the event of anarchy, I will be the last to remain.A world without laws would likely be chaotic and unsafe. There would be no rules governing behavior, leading to potential harm, violence, and exploitation. Without laws to provide structure and order, society would struggle to function effectively.
Without laws, there would likely be chaos, as there would be no formal system in place to regulate behavior and resolve disputes. People may act in self-interest without regard for the well-being of others, leading to potential conflict, violence, and an overall breakdown of society. Laws help establish order, protect individual rights, and provide a framework for a functioning society.
There would be fewer crimes. The vast number of laws that exist today cannot be remembered by anyone. If something is not against the law it cannot be considered a crime. Many corporate and tax laws would not exist for instance.Another view:There would be more crimes. depends which way you look at it. Laws against shoplifting, rape, murder, etc. would not exist. That means more shoplifting, more rape, more murders, and few kids in school. There would also be no policemen. It all depends on which way you look at it.
Without laws, there would be no clear guidelines on how businesses should operate. This could lead to unfair competition, exploitation of workers, lack of consumer protection, and environmental damage. Overall, it would create a chaotic and unstable business environment that could harm both businesses and society.
by signed in the compact by majority rulesThe writers of the Mayflower Compact said the laws would be decided by the people. The Society of Elders, however, would oversee these laws to ensure fairness across the board.
Without laws there would be chaos. Laws are promulgated so that there can be an orderly society.

would we be able to function in society without rules
In order to help the poor and to calm any unrest, the Roman government provided the poor with grain and oil which supplemented their diets. They also held entertainments for them. These acts were what caused the expression "bread and circuses" in regard to the poor people of Rome.
Laws provide a minimum level of acceptable behavior as defined by the members of the society, or their leadership. Without laws, there are some people that will hurt other people through theft and assault.
The rule of law can be used to help stabilize a diverse society by bridging the gap between ethnic groups. The same laws apply to everyone. After a law is made it the ultimate authority. Without laws there would be chaos or anarchy.
Because, if there were no laws, people would do Anything they felt like, murder, robbery, rape, speeding. It's to protect people from others and to stop them from harming themselves. A place without laws is a very dangerous place indeed. Look at northern Mexico, I am sorry to have to write about.
Society would be exactly where it is now, but without space exploration, and possibly without air travel.
with out laws that there would be lawleness in the world and chaos
A family is one component of the society. Without it, it would not exist.
This question comes is equivalent to asking what is law? What is its function? Every society, even the most simple one, is in need of some form of organisation. The members of a society need to know which the rules of the organisation are. The rules of the organisation are it's laws. One can thus say that a society cannot function without laws.
