Dear Mr. Bruce:
Thank you for your recent email about adding "Afrimerican" to the
Census Bureau Racial Classification List.
We have added this entry to our classification list.
However at this time, we are unable to add this response category to the question on race in census data collection instruments. Before categories are added extensive research is
conducted to assess the value associated with the change.
The current categories are the result of several years of research and testing. In preparation for the 2020 census we will include this issue as part of our research
program.
If there are additional questions, please contact me at the email
address shown above or call me on 301-763-2402.

King used the analogy of cashing a check to describe the Negro's right to claim what is his. He said that America had given African Americans a "bad check" in the form of unfulfilled promises of equality, and that they were justified in demanding their rights like cashing a check at a bank.
"Pleague" does not appear to be a recognized English word. It may be a misspelling or typographical error. If you meant "plague," it refers to a widespread contagious disease that causes high mortality, or it can be used more broadly to describe any widespread affliction, calamity, or nuisance.
De facto means "in fact" or "in reality," even though it may not be officially recognized. It is often used to describe something that exists in practice but not necessarily by law. The term comes from Latin, where "de facto" translates to "concerning fact."
No, Ohio is not a commonwealth. It is a state in the United States of America. Commonweath is a term that is used to describe certain self-governing territories with their own constitution and government.
In his "I Have a Dream" speech, Martin Luther King Jr. used the analogy of a check marked "insufficient funds" to describe the failure of America to live up to its promises of equality and justice for Black Americans. He emphasized that it was time for the country to honor its moral obligations and ensure that all citizens, regardless of race, had access to their constitutional rights.

A reservation is a kind of ghetto or enclave, in which native Americans associate only with their fellow native Americans in the reservation and have relatively little if any contact with other types of Americans. If native Americans move to cities where other types of Americans live, they will become more involved with what I might loosely describe as mainstream American culture. That is assimilation.
