The Mecklenburg resolves were a list of statements that were adopted in mecklenburg county(North Carolina). This was just weeks, about a month after the battles in Concord and Lexington which were known to be the beginning of the war for american independence from the british. The Mecklenburg Resolves were said to have declared independence from Britain in the state of North Carolina, making NC the first to declare independence or take any action related to that but the papers are said to have burned in 1800 in a fire and there is a lack of evidence so no one knows for sure it what's being said is true.

Equity law is a system of law that developed in England to provide remedies that were not available under common law. It developed in the Court of Chancery, which was separate from the common law courts, to address situations where the strict application of common law rules led to injustice. Equity law is based on principles of fairness, justice, and conscience.

Do you need an attorney to file for probate?

No, you do not necessarily need a lawyer when filing a will in probate, however because it is such a court-intensive process having a lawyer that knows the system is always a plus. In the process of probate, a probate court determines the validity of the decedent's "last will and testament." After this, the court oversees asset distribution to named beneficiaries or rightful heirs according to state intestate succession statutes. The court also oversees the payment of estate taxes and resolves conflicts between heirs.

What are the significance of conveyancing?

Conveyancing is the quasi-legal process of transferring ownership of a property from one person to another. I say "quasi-legal" because in truth, the conveyancing process is mostly an administrative task (only about 20% of the work requires any real legal expertise). This may sound simplistic but nevertheless it is accurate; "The primary objective of conveyancing is to make sure buyers are buying what they think they're buying" - That really is the core of the matter and why conveyancing is significant (certainly with regard to the purchase of a house).
