yes haitians are latino as well as afro latino. People who speak spanish are people who are Hispanic. A latino is someone who lives in Latin America or come from latin america along with a few countries in the caribbean. (guyana is culturally not latino even tho they are they adapt to more carib/afro/indian culture but they are located in south america “ Islands like haiti,Dr,Cuba,Brazil speak and was colonized by latin countries like : France , Spain, Italy ,Portugal who still adopted the colonized language aside from their native language like: french, spanish , portuguese, italian. now to be latino is to speak an romance language ,decendants of ancient Rome who spoke latin, that died and is survived by: French, Spanish, Italian ect. Including creole or kreyol (haiti) who manage to create a baby language of all latin languages combined . Haitians paved the way for latin america by rebelling against out colonizer and allowing us to speak what we weren’t allowed to speak before and also gaining independence for latin america and the rest of the world. Geographic wise haiti is located in the latin region , Dominicans aren’t latino because they speak spanish they are latin because they speak a colonized latin language . hispaniola is not physically divided we embody what it means to be afro latino not being accpted because of our skin , it’s know they are latino but given the colorism in latin america and class division cause they don’t fit the “latin image”
