we have nine endemic species of squirrels (a pygmy squirrel, two flying squirrels, and six tree squirrels) in the Philippines, check this website below for detailed information on all of them.

Only the following islands in the Philippines have squirrels though: Basilan, Biliran, Bohol, Dinagat, Homohon, Leyte, Mindanao, Palawan group of islands, Samar, and Siargao.

Luzon island doesn't have a native squirrel, those seen in Manila (including those at forbes park, see below) and environs are introduced exotics (variable squirrel from SE Asia) and potentially invasive.

[yes we do have them in fact there are some in forbes park just look up towards the acacia trees and you might spot some.]
