Do English Bulldogs have a lot of flatulence?

Yes! I have had my adult English Bulldog for a little over two years. While she has always had a flatulence "problem" recently it has gotten severe! Scouring the internet and meeting with our vet suggests that she is suffering from food Allergies. I love my Bully but she is the only dog that I've known that makes noise when she passes gas! She can sneeze and do it, stretch and do it or lie there and do it all night long. The other night it was so bad that my Great Dane got up and left the room, opting to sleep alone in the back bedroom. (And he is a snuggle bug). I hope the diet change helps. Cross your fingers for us!

English bulldogs are brachycephalic, meaning they have a very short, pushed-in muzzle. Because of this, they tend to swallow a lot of air when they eat or drink, which causes gas. Also, because of their compact, compressed bodies, they tend to have highly active digestive systems.

yes,American bulldogs do fart alot because they are big dogs and some they eat too much and sometimes beg and beg for food so that's one of the reasons that American bulldogs fart alot.bark!bark! fart! fart! bye. :)
