There are only three species of dolphins that live north of the Artic Circle: the Killer Whale (which is actually a dolphin), the Atlantic White-Sided Dolphin, and the White-Beaked Dolphin. The Killer Whale, whose range includes all the world's oceans, only goes north of the Artic Circle in summer. The ranges of the Atlantic White-Sided Dolphin and the White-Beaked Dolphin only go a few miles north of the Arctic Circle. We are unsure whether or not they inhabit this northernmost part of their range (just north of Norway) all year round. They may only reach these areas because of ocean currents.
