Yes , they do shed because they grow and they make new hair its normal unless its in chunks then you want to see a vet .
There are both long-haired and short-haired chihuahuas, so both.
it does not make a difference if they are long haired
Yes. They shed A LOT if they are short haired, if they are long haired, they shed very little.
about 15 years
Chihuahua's only shed when seasons change like normal dogs and they don shed that much and the only other time they will shed if the dog is pregnant just like how we humans lose hair when where are pregnant and they shed allot then =D in fact my Chihuahua just gave birth to 3 live pups today
Some of them are the normal chihuahuas you see everywhere and the others are long haired chihuahuas.
Yes. There are long haired chihuahuas mixed with terriers. They look very much like a long haired chihuahua but are slightly larger. They vary in size and can be between 8-15lbs. Mine is about 14 which is on the heavier side.
yes. only poodles dont shed ^ that answer is not entirely true, long haired jack russell's do not shed as much as short haired. I have a short haired jack and he sheds alot.
The Short (Smooth) haired Chihuahua would shed less fur, the long haired would need more grooming suggesting that the long haired would shed more (there's more hair)
Yes they do all mammals shed including us
There is no such thing as a "long-haired pug". Pugs are short-haired and they shed a lot! A long-haired cousin of the pug, the Pekinese, is short nosed and has similar characteristics of the pug, except for the long hair. Hope this helps!
Yes. They do shed hair but if your get a short haired chiuaua than if would be better if you wanted to minimize hair being all over everything but the short haired chiuaua's are better because they don't shed that much hair at all.
