very simple. On the left side of the deck, unlatch the lever on top of the deck, and swing out and to the rear, which will leave the belt tension very loose. Place the new belt on motor pully, and then the rear pully on the deck. Swing the lever back forward and in to relatch it. You're done.

You have what is called a floating deck. You do not need tools to remove the deck. There are two floating pivots on either side that have a pull out knob, there is an adjustment hanger on the left side (as your sitting on the mower) that will have a cotter pin, and there are two spring loaded latches in the front where the wood roller is. Once these are all pulled out you can move the deck towards the front a little, take the drive belt off the pulley, and then slide the deck out from under the mower. Once out, you will have to remove the bolts holding the float arms and remove them so that belt shield can be removed once the nuts are removed. Notice how the old belt is installed because there is only one correct way to reinstall the belt to make it work and last. Make sure the idler spring is good and tight so that the lever is hard to release tension. Otherwise, take it to the dealer.
