There can be a female and/or male beta in a pack.
As can be found in some dictionaries, according to a certain geometry book, a wolf pack is two wolves, or a wolf pack plus a wolf. This is confusing, but it means that a wolf pack can have any number greater than one of wolves. --- The main positions in a wolf pack are Alpha Male Beta Male Alpha Female Beta Female Then the rest are just a member of a pack
The Beta is sort of like a second-in-command or a deputy. There is rarely two betas, often it is just one Beta. The Beta has the job of keeping the pack in order while the Alphas aren't around. When the Alphas return, they are no longer able to order around the pack. Hope this helped! ~Shadow Wolf

Alphas: There is an Alpha Male and an Alpha Female in a pack. Usually, they are mates. These two are the only ones who are aloud to mate and have pups in the pack, unless they give permission to another two wolves in their pack to mate. These wolves are respected by all the pack and the pack will always follow their orders. Beta: There is usually only one Beta, but sometimes, quite rarely actually, there may be two. A Beta is like second-in-command or a deputy. The Beta gives the orders when the Alphas aren't around, but as soon as the Alphas return, the Beta is not in charge. The Beta is near the top of the wolf pack, but still highly respects the Alphas. Usually, the Beta will find a mate, and run off to have pups with him/her and start their own pack. Or the Beta will wait and take on the role of Alpha of his/her current pack. Delta: Not much to say about the Delta except that they are training to become the Beta. Wolves: Then there are just the pack members. These members have no rank in the pack really and they all respect the Alphas and do what they are told. Omega: At the bottom of the pack is the Omega. This wolf usually becomes the Omega because they did something wrong or bad. The Omega is treated with no respect at all and usually they have no friends within the pack. They do work and chores and are bossed around by everyone.
The alfa male and alfa female are the breeding pair in a pack. So two lead the pack. If there is plentiful game in the area sometimes there will be two breeding females.
Two or more formed a pack. A single vessel was a "lone wolf."
a slough wolf is a pack leader on wolf quest 1 on single player or a member in the pack and on wolf quest two they have no slough wolfs they have a creek called slough creek but they might have one i cant find them or any packs on singer player on wolf quest 2 try finding a pack ok on multiplayer they have the creek only
Gamma is not an official title in ranking wolves.Alpha is the pack leader, or pack leading pair (male and female) and typically the only two mating in the pack. (the rest often being children of the alpha's)The beta wolf is second in command, the strongest next to the alpha and the one who would be most likely to take charge if the alpha died. The omega wolf is the weakest of the pack, or the runt in a litter. Typically the weakest and least cared for the omega may not even be fed if there is a limited food supply and not enough to go around.Beyond that any labels like gamma would be up to the individual observer to use, some wolf researchers may use the entire Greek alphabet (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, etc) simply to label every member in a pack but this is up to the individual researcher if they choose to give names, or attempt to recognize where every individual within the pack stands. There is typically only the alpha pair, the beta second and the omega runt which are clear to observation; the rest of the pack falling somewhere in between with relatively equal status. You could in theory call all of those in between the beta and the omega: 'the gamma wolves'; but like I said, gamma hasn't really caught on as a regular part of the lexicon of wolf observation.
Wolves are territorial, so two packs meeting would result in a fight. The resident pack will try to drive away the interloper pack.

Well, normally, the word Beta means second in command. Like say there is a wolf pack made up of Jeff, Billy, Bob, Joe, Mack, Justin, Jessie, and Jessica. Jeff is the alpha and Joe is the beta. Jeff can boss around Billy, Bob, Joe, Mack, Justin, Jessie, and Jessica. Where Joe can only boss around Billy, Bob, Mack, Justin, Jessie, and Jessica, he can't boss around Jeff, ever. That is pretty much the basic meaning of Beta, the second in command.
