What should you do if your guinea pigs have dandruff on their skin?

This probably isn't dandruff, it's most likely to be mites, if your guinea pigs have scabs on their skin, i reckon it could be. Take it to the vets for a professional opinion and they will give you some treatment for it.

Did you wash her with flea shampoo? This can cause dry skin and dandruff with piggies.

could be scurf, trademark sign of a few conditions, it is best to take your guinea to the vet if there is a problem they will give you a special shampoo or some ivermectin to treat it and it should clear up in a few weeks

Try adding a tablespoon of oil to the guinea pig's dry food. Plain cooking oil or vegetable oil would be best. Also make sure the diet includes a good mix of vegetables daily.

There's also a good chance it may be scurvy do to a lack of vitamin C. Even when the food you buy says it has vitamin C in it, it doesn't stay fresh enough. I supplement my pigs' diet with a slice of orange at least once a week. They love it, and it cured a bad case really fast. The first guinea pig I ever had got scurvy, took him to vet, vet didn't know what was wrong and referred me to a veterinary dermatologist. Before I went I did some research and tried the fresh orange slices. Worked like a charm and saved me tons of money. Good luck!

theres shampoo you can buy from vets and petstores brushing if short hair you can use a new clean toothbrush gentily or you can buy a special brush for long hairs guinea pigs hope this helps!

just rub in some mosturiser but make sure its well rubbed in so that the guinea pig wont get poisoned
