Guinea pig rarely bites when they are threatened as a part of defense. In most case, they bite accidentally because they consider our fingers as their food.
Usually when a guinea pig nibbles you they either are showing affection (sort of like a kiss) or they don't know what you are so they are tasting you. (if you have sweated you'll taste salty). Yes, it does hurt if their nibble is a bite kind of nibble. They will rarely ever bite you though.( Or that's what I've learned from my previous guinea pigs.) P.S. If your guinea pigs seem to be fighting, don't put your hand in the cage to grab one out. They will bite you i you do this. Just find something to separate them with. (cardboard, wood, something hard, etc.) Other than that, guinea pigs are great pets.
Most likely the guinea pig will squeal and tremble a little u can also tell when the fur stands up and looks puffy. Sometimes they will bare there 2 front teeth slightly
yes girls are better Example : 2 girls they wont fight you know like humans but boys I WANT TO HAVE THIS CAGE FOR MY OWN if something happens like that you well hear that one of them or two will make a teeth noise
Each one haves diffrent sayign of " I Don't like you " but the commen one is if they bite you or hide them selves from you and dose not accept you.
Guinea pigs hardly ever bite, they do bite if they're scared though ...or if they mistake your fingers for food!Well from other resources they have to be very scared......!!! They can, but only one of the many guinea pigs I had as a child ever did. Several of my childhood friends had guinea pigs too, but I don't recall any of them being bitten. This all depends on the guinea pig, most do not, but I can't speak for every animal. Usually if you get a younger one and treat it lovingly, they won't bite, just nibbled painfully. Most guinea pigs are very mild mannered. I've had 6 over my childhood and I've only been bitten once when one had a skin irritation and it barely broke the skinIt all depends on how you bring up your guinea pig, they don't have the nature of biting, but you COULD give that nature to them by not bringing them up well. Any abuse could lead to this. From my experience, they rarely do bite. But if the guinea pig is upset or mad enough, yes, they will bite and they will make you bleed.Usually, when you hand you finger to them, they just nibble at it.Dont worry, it shouldnt happen often.No. they are very friendly. they might give you a kiss though They can bite but a lot of them choose not to
They will be a little shy at first, but they will get to know each other well enough.
This is a sign showing if the guinea pigs want somthing or they are going to pee,you see, guniea pigs know not to pee on their owners so they give them a warning sometimes if you ignore them they will increase the hardness of the bite, but sometimes they just want loads of attention so try to figure out the signs and you will get along better, simple.
Guinea pigs were first introduced as domestic pets by traders in the Netherlands in 1670.
Well, I own a horse and what i know is that they back up or bite. Sometimes they run to safety.
yes, you can feed guinea pigs grass. Clean the grass first so you know theres no pee or parasites to hert the little guy.
My guinea pig licks me, too. I think that it could be the salt in our skin. Guinea pigs need salt, and you can buy salt licks for them at pet stores. They love them! Our guinea pigs prefer the non flavored salt licks. I think licking could also be a sign of affection. My guinea pig, Smorez (he's magical, by the way) will lick me as a sign of affection towards me. They do that to show that they love you. (:
I don't know... why did the bird bite the bug?
