It depends on which place/location you looking for a deer hunt.
However, If you are looking for a Whitetail and exotic deer hunt in Texas, then I Will recommend Hidden Hills Ranch. Hidden Hills Ranch is conveniently located only 1.5 to 2.5 hours’ drive from Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin in what is known as the Texas Triangle, in Burleson County. Hidden Hills Ranch offers some of the finest Texas whitetails and exotic deer hunts. You can also experience hog hunts at its best.
There are very many good place to go deer hunting. But I reccomend Northern Wisconsin. There have been plenty of times I have seen 12 point bucks walking through the woods here.
because when hunting season arrives, they need a place to hide... it is also a good habitat for feeding reasons

In my opinion, a lung shot will be the most reliable, whether you are hunting with buckshot or slugs. While this link is to a bow hunting site, it has a good illustration of the location of a deer's heart and lungs. Good hunting-http:/bowsitezperiodzcom/bowsite/features/articles/deer/heartorlungs
The best place to hunt deer depends on the local regulations, terrain, and deer population in your region. Look for areas with high deer populations, good cover for stalking, and natural food and water sources. Private lands with permission from the landowner or public hunting grounds are common places to hunt deer.
