If you breed two dapple dachshunds together the puppies have a high possibility of being born without or underdeveloped eyes, blind, and deaf. It is not worth the risk to create a double dapple dachshund. The poor puppies have to live their entire lives with those birth defects and its very hard to find them good homes.
Yes, breeding two dachshunds with the same pattern, such as double dapple, should be avoided due to the risk of producing puppies with serious health issues like blindness and deafness. It's important to consult with a veterinarian or a reputable breeder to ensure responsible breeding practices.
Two dachshunds. Dachshunds are hounds bred to chase and flush burrow-dwelling critters. They originated in Germany and their name means Dachs - Badger and Hund - hound.
Piebald is not a cross breed. Two dachshunds bred together need to have the piebald gene in their background. Piebald is recessive and will not show up but you could see a relative that was a piebald in the pedigree. Two piebalds bred together will produce all piebald puppies.
A dachshund is a dapple if it has silver and black dots. Most dapples have silver hair also. There are two types of dapple, sliver dapple which is sliver or gray with black spots and a chocolate dapple which is a spotted mix of browns and tans. The chocolate ones can be either real dark in color or a lighter tan with darker spots. If you have a dapple with white on it, the white is called pie and a sliver dapple with brown on it, the brown is called bald. My 4 yr old male is considered a sliver dapple pie bald with sky blue eyes.
There is only one breed of german shepard. Although two german spepards may look different that is because all breeds vary from pure to mutt this means, you could have two german spepards and coinsedentally they will not look the same you have a trillionth of a chance for thwmto look the same
A blue iguana is a morph of a Green iguana bred through generations in captivity.
Of course!
Most Dachshunds have eighteen toes, including the two dew claws on their front legs.
Regardless of inbreeding or indeed complete outcrossing, the fact is that the merle (or dapple) gene works by interrupting the melanocytes from laying down pigment as usual in a uniform fashion. That has no problem. Very pretty. But double dose this gene and it removes the melanocytes completely in places. Now. When this effect hits the eyes they can be either restricted in size or absent. If the effect hits the inside of the ear, the unpigmented cilla are unable to be stable enough to send the message to the brain to convert sound waves into sound the dog can recognize. Blind and deaf is not a nice combination. I have no wish to see the breeding of dapples stopped, and I understand how a double may be a useful breeding animal for producing 100% dapple puppies, but it has to be done with knowledge, common sense and experience, and just blaming it on inbreeding is not helpful. The gene itself causes this, not the dog it is bred into. Very pretty gene, but like the stripes of the bumble bee or the wasp, it is a warning. Whoever designed these little dogs was kind enough to give us that! www.granadan.co.uk Thank you for updating this answer I decided to void my comments due to the content of your editing. brandy.
The two dragons, for some reason, are incompatible and cannot be bred together.
Yes....Short bred and long bred cows are two types. Other two types are dry bred cows and 3-in-1's.
Male dogs can breed frequently, but females should only be bred once a year for health reasons.
