Project Control is one of the phases in project management. When the project execution starts, it is the responsibility of the project manager to ensure that everything is happening as per the original plan that was created (Project Management Plan). So, he has to constantly monitor the project performance and control the execution process. During control, the project manager will take steps to make course corrections. For ex: if the project is not per schedule, the project manager may assign extra people to get more work done so that the project will get back in schedule.
