There are actually 3 parts of the Tanach (Jewish Bible): Torah, Nevi'im, and K'tuvim. These books in English are Teachings, Prophets, and Writings. The Torah is the Pentateuch or the first 5 books. Nevi'im or Prophets is just what it says all the prophetical writings. K'tuvim are general writings that do not contain prophecy but were deemed to be of significance to future generations.

In the English versions of the Christian Old Testament these are all the books from Isaiah to the end of the Old Testament. Those before it are called the writings. These are composed of history, poetry, and wisdom literature.
