If you are speaking of the Magi, they are only mentioned in the gospel of Matthew, and it doesn't say how many there were.

"We three kings of Orient are" first appeared in print during the 1860s, and given that they supposedly arrived in 12 days, they obviously weren't traveling all the way from the Orient. Matthew called them wise men, not kings, and Psalms 72:11 was used to assert that they were kings.

The names commonly assigned to the Magi are variations of Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar. supposedly from Iran, India, and Arabia. These names were in a Greek document about 500 AD, and nobody knows if they came from an oral tradition, or were the product of an active imagination.
