The Bible tells us to ALWAYS put God first in EVERY aspect of our lives. At Matthew 6:33 we read: "...seek firstthe kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."(ESV) This would include human relationships. A successful marriage is called a 'three fold cord', scripturally, because it's made up of God, a husband and a wife.(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

Does The Bible have authority?

A lot of people say the Bible is the authority, but you have to keep in mind that God wrote the Bible to remind of of his love. So often people make the Bible their god instead of God (if that makes sense). So basically the real authority is God; He just often shows us what to do or how to live through the Bible.because it is god-breathed

What are the story in The Bible?

Basically the history of the people chosen by God. There are too many stories to list out,i am afraid.Adam n eve: loss of paradiseCain and Abel: First murderNoah: The floodAbraham and Issac: The sacrificeThe wedding of Issac and RebeccaIssac's blessing: The cheating of Easu by his twin brother JacobJacobs wedding with two sisters: one by his father-in-law's cheating, the other for loveThe story of Joseph, the dreamer...The overall story of the Bible is the story of mankind and man's relationship with God the creator.God creates all things and man. God places man in a 'garden' and man and God have a friendly relationship. Man disobeys God and the relationship is broken. All people born from this time on have a broken relationship with God. God plans to restore that relationship and chooses a people who will be His representatives on earth. The majority of the Bible is about this nation and how God deals with them and the other surrounding nations. God's chosen nation fails in it's job. Then God himself comes to earth in the form of a man to be a sacrifice for man's disobedience and so makes a way for people to restore their relationship with God.The story of the Bible in a few words is paradise lost and paradise regained (and everything in between).

Why is the bible written about so many other people if the bible is god's word?

The Bible is God's word, means that people were inspired by God to write the different books that make up the Bible. Scripture is thought of as the living voice of God speaking in all its parts directly to the reader. In places the scriptures are called the oracles or utterances of God. The Bible is made up of many different kinds of writing: historical narrative, poetry, letters, for example. Through these different types of writing God has revealed Himself to us. From the different stories about other people we can see who God is, what is His relationship to mankind, what is mankind's relationship to God, how God has dealt with mankind over the ages, how God views sin. These are a few things we can learn from the stories of the Bible.

The primary purpose of the bible to make God known and specifically Jesus Christ, His son. The bible can and should be thought of as the revelation of a loving God to the people He created. He made himself known to us and continues to make himself known to us because He wants to have a relationship with us. The bible is the revelation of the person of Jesus Christ, first and foremost.

A:More than anything, your relationship with God depends on a belief that God exists. Then it depends on a willingness to submit to and love him. It is strengthened by a belief in the Bible, but is usually not entirely dependent on this.

How would Jesus restore your relationship with god?

The Bible says everybody is born spiritually dead. Another way of saying this is people don't have a relationship with/know God. This is because the first man and woman did not obey God and so their relationship with God - the creator and sustainer of life - was broken. This is sin. Throughout the history of mankind - as told in the Bible - the way for a person to restore their relationship with God is to acknowledge their relationship with God is broken and to offer a sacrifice. In the early history of mankind this is what people did. God chose the nation of Israel to be His representatives on earth. Israel was supposed to show the other nations what a relationship with God is like. But Israel turned from God and His ways and followed other gods. So God came to earth as a man - Jesus - and died as the 'lamb of God', a sacrifice for the sin of all who believe. If a person believes this, the Bible says God forgives the person and that person's relationship with God is restored. Also the believer has the gift of eternal life.
