Triple duty valves combine the features of a check valve, a throttling valve, and a shut-off valve, and are designed for installation on the discharge side of centrifugal pumps. The convertible body design allows the triple duty valve to be changed on-site from a straight configuration to an elbow configuration.

They prevent the end user from having to purchase many different types of valves separately, this saves money in materials and uses limited floor spacing.
