High side and low side refer to the pressures in the two halves of the system. AC works by compressing refrigerant in the compressor ( the beginning of the 'high side'), cooling in the condensor it, and then expanding it to absorb heat ( where it enters the low side). Then the low-side piping takes is back to the compressor, where the cycle starts over.
If your low side (evaporator coil) pressure is higher than your high side (condenser coil) while the compressor is running, your switching valve is in the reversed position. That is, you are in the heating mode of the heat-pump, and the pressures are reversed to provide heat into the home.

The difference between the low and high bypass turbofans is simply in the amount of air which goes into the engine versus the remainder that goes around (bypasses) the engine. In high bypass engines ( an engine on any large commercial jet) only 20% around 20% of air goes into the engine with 80% bypassing it. (The 80% generates most of the engine thrust) In low bypass engines, this ratio is much lower
It depends on air pressure in the pneumatic system. You pneumatic systems for high and low air pressure to force change. This is the compressor power.
The intake ports on low- and medium-temperature compressors are larger because they are designed to handle a greater volume of refrigerant gas at lower pressures and temperatures, which requires increased airflow to maintain efficiency. In contrast, air-conditioning compressors typically operate at higher pressures and temperatures, allowing for smaller intake ports while still maintaining adequate flow. The larger ports in low- and medium-temperature applications help accommodate the different thermodynamic properties and operational demands of the refrigerants used. This design distinction ensures optimal performance and efficiency in varying cooling systems.
95-01 LOW SIDE at the passenger side motor mount...The HIGH SIDE is at the condenser.
The low side is on the accumulator and the high side is on the discharge line......
20-30 on low side and 160-220 on high side depending on outside air temp.
a 2001 mercedes c320 do you charges on low side or high side
In a 1985 Celica Supra, the high side and low side air conditioning lines can be distinguished by their size and location. The low side line is typically larger in diameter and is usually located between the evaporator and the compressor. In contrast, the high side line is smaller and runs from the compressor to the condenser. Additionally, the service ports for the high side and low side are usually marked, with the low side port being accessible for filling refrigerant.
The 1994 Buick Century air conditioning low side port can be found on top of the air conditioning compressor. The low side port will be labeled as the low pressure port.
You are on the wrong port. Some fords have an extra port that the low side hose screws on but is a high side fitting. look for another port.
The 1986 Nissan King low side port can be found on the air conditioning compressor. The low side port will be labeled as the high pressure port.
clogged filters,dirty coils condensers,evaporators
there is a high side charging port up top and a low side underneath the car on the compressor.
The low side port is located on the air conditioner compressor. The low side port will be the entry for recharging your air conditioning system.
There is no high side service port only a low side.
