I can only offer my own experience ...... I have been doing a burdock 'cleanse' for 2 weeks now and my acne has already improved remarkably. I have tried every other remedy, including trips to the dermatologist and prescriptions, and this is the best my skin has behaved in years. I am doing the cleanse with a tea infusion over a 30 day period. From what I was told, this cleanse only needs to be done once a year. 1-2 tsp of pure certified organic burdock root simmered in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes and then left to sit for 12 hours before drinking. I don't bother heating it back up, I actually enjoy it cold on it's own or mixed with juice. I haven't had any adverse side effects at all, but I have read that you have to be cautious if you have certain Allergies to other plants. There is good information all over the internet if you just search under 'burdock'. Good luck. :-)
