You must go for a second opinion. When the fetal heartbeat is present there must be a fetus. Sometimes a woman can have an ectopic pregnancy and the fetal heartbeat can be heard, but the fetus is not in utero. It is in the fallopian tube. This is a serious condition so you should definitely get a second ultra sound. ASAP!!!
no. they have their own heartbeat. if you are pregnant and go to the doctor they can put a fetal monitor on you and you will be able to hear the babys heartbeat.
With my first child I was 7w3d when I had my first u/s. My second child I was 9 weeks. This coming Monday I will have an u/s @ 6w6d and hope to see a heartbeat. I heard from my Ob/Gyn that at 6w1d there should be a heartbeat noticeable on trans. vag. u/s.
You will never be able to see your baby's heartbeat in your stomach. But at around 6 weeks, you can see it in your womb via ultrasound. Usually over 6 weeks it can be heard through a fetal heart monitor too.
It is an ultrasound scan where the gel is rubbed onto your belly when you are pregnant to monitor the progress and growth of a foetus. they use ultrasound waves to bounce of the foetus and create the picture you see on the screen
yes
There are two possible scenarios here. 1. You could still be pregnant but the monitor didn't pick up the heartbeat. 2. Miscarriage can take a while to actually happen. It can take one day or as many as 14 days to miscarry.
A baby doppler is a hand held ultrasound device to listen to a baby's heartbeat at home. It is not advised to use without training as it is difficult to distinguish the heartbeat from other sounds.

Holter Monitor
Even though you can not hear the fetal heartbeat until week 9 or 10. Ultrasound is able to see a beating heart much sooner. An ultrasound can pick up the heartbeat as a "flicker" in the chest as early as 4 weeks. I wouldent worry, by the 12 week the baby's heartbeat can be heard using a monitor. Do not worry if the baby is fine you will hear the heartbeat eventually. The important thing is that his little heart beats. When you hear it for the first time, it is the most amazing sound in the world. Feel free to ask your doctor these questions, even if you look like an idiot at least then you willl know. (It's not you, you need to worry about now. It's that little life inside you.) God Bless.
