No. The Germans had no aircraft with the range to reach the US and return to Europe. The Germans did have a design on paper for a large, four engine, heavy bomber, often called the "New York" bomber, but it was never built.
The Germans had some brilliant aircraft designers. But aircraft production was chaotic and poorly directed. The Germans built only a few of a great many excellent designs of various types of aircraft. There was never any large-scale production of a heavy bomber. The largest the Germans had in any number were two engine, medium bombers.
The head of the German Air Force was Reichsmarshal Herman Goering. He was the most prestigious Nazi in the early days, before they gained power. He was the last commander of the von Richthofen "Flying Circus" in WWI, and an ace with 22 kills. He was also a drug addict and a very bizarre person. When he was captured at the end of the war, he had Germany's entire supply of paracodeine pills in his luggage. Goering had put Ernst Udet in charge of aircraft procurement. Udet was the highest-scoring surviving German ace of WWI. He was also a playboy who loved to drink, and lacked organizational skills. When it became apparent that Udet had deceived Goering and everyone else with the rosy picture he painted of aircraft production, he killed himself.
Goering had little real connection with actually running the Luftwaffe after his failure to wipe out the British, allowing the British Army to escape the continent at Dunkirk. The real head of the Luftwaffe was Eberhard Milch. But he suffered from continual interference from Hitler. Hitler despised anything which he decided was "defensive". He wanted "offensive" weapons, so he could attack. For example, the Luftwaffe deployed the world's first operational jet fighter plane, the ME 262. This plane might have completely smashed the American bombing attacks on Europe. The only problem was, it was deployed two years too late, because Hitler, thinking fighter planes were "defensive", ordered this excellent fighter converted to a ground attack bomber, for which it was completely unsuitable. Hitler was worth an army to the allies with his continued idiotic meddling in everything. The Germans had the best generals, the best equipment, the best aircraft designers, but Hitler always thought he knew better.
In America you could ba any age to fly a plane but you had to be atleast 18 to join the army some 16 year olds lied about their age to get to fly a plane.
That would be the Mustang, designated the P-51 in America. I believe Col Archer's aircraft was a P-51c.
Orange is the color of the Dutch royal family. The Netherlands were invaded by Germany in May of 1940, but showed opposition. An Orange flag would ultimately say to any allied powers "Germans are not here, the town is safe".
