The pacific war started when Japanese bombers attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Their aim was to sink 2 certain aircraft carriers, but those carriers were at another port at the time. They did however attack some battleships. A new torpedo design was even made by the Japanese for the shallow waters at the port. Also, mini submarines (1-2 people) were sent. One of these submarines was captured and the person inside begged to be executed, but he was captured and became the first Japanese prisoner of war. Of course the Americans would have declared war by now. The Americans wanted to keep the war in the Pacific, but Germany and Italy declared war on them, so too bad for them.
