∙ 10y agoThis question is trickier to answer than meets the eye as there were several changes to frontiers between 1938 and 1945. It is important to avoid double counting and for this reason most figures are based on country of deportation. Most of the actual killing was carried out in Poland and other East European countries: Jews were deported to Poland from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece and elsewhere specifically to be killed.
