Besides construction, medical/food supplies, those funds were spent on: T-28 Trojan (propeller driven airplanes), A-1 Skyraiders (propeller driven airplanes), and F-5 Freedom Fighters (jets) for the South Vietnamese Air Force; for the the South Viet Army: M-41 Walker Bulldog light tanks, Artillery, ACAV's (M-113 Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicles), trucks and jeeps; Infantry weapons/equipment: M-1 carbines, M-16 rifles, machineguns, hand-grenades, claymore anti-personnel mines, recoilless rifles, 60mm, 81mm and 4.2" mortars, various demolitions ordinance, steel helmets (M-1's), flak vests, and associated web gear (load bearing equipment). Upon re-deployment of US forces, the South Viet Government inherited US Army M-48 Patton tanks and US Navy Riverine Boats: approximately 100 Swift Boats (PCF-Patrol Craft Fast), over 200 PBR's (Patrol Boat River), and numerous Alpha Boats (ASPB-Assault Support Patrol Boats), and Monitors (River Battleships). In addition: Hundreds of UH-1 helicopters and 0-1 Bird Dog observation airplanes; as well as spare parts and FUEL, WEAPONS, & AMMUNITION for the above listed equipment. Discounting the aforementioned information, the fuel, bombs, ammunition (rockets, aerial cannon, missiles), lost aircraft (10,000 fixed wing & rotor wing), lost Riverine Boats, tanks, ACAVs, Artillery, trucks, tractors, bridges (AVLB-Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge), GI pay, GI food, GI medical, GI supply (Small Arms, Ammunition, bayonets, cleaning equipment, etc.), all contributed to the consumption of the approximate 120 billion dollars.
