In addtion there were 6 Cavalry Divisions. Also there were Tank Divisions but I'm not sure how many---at least 14. Also, General Patton was placed in command of a "ghost Army" to deceive the Germans on the invasion plans. There were about 8 "Ghost" divisions, both infantry and paratrooper which did not really exist but a patch insignia was designed for them.
