The Strategy used during both world wars is Total War
In the past, the U.S. has exacerbated Communism via isolationism towards countries such as Cuba. Nonetheless, the US has helped to fight communism, mainly by living and leading by example. For example, the average household income and per capita GDP of the relatively free and democratic US has been much better and higher than that of communist countries over the years. In other words, the best way that the U.S has helped to fight Communism is by leading by example.
The union with allied countries.

The term "third world" was originally used to describe countries not aligned with either the Soviet Union/communism or the United States/NATO and was originally used in 1952. Since the Cold War, it has been used to describe developing or under-developed nations. Countries such as North Korea, Cuba and Ethiopia are considered third world and each of these countries has a government. The list of developing countries is very long and most do have centralized government. So the answer is yes.
The Domino theory was that if one country became communist, the countries surrounding it would become communist as well. It was a theory used in America during the Cold War to justify American intervention in other countries.
One way that the Truman Doctrine was used to stop the spread of communism is by his policy called containment. This was a way to pour money and supplies into war-torn countries, keep them afloat and stop the spread of communism. Another example is the Marshal Plan that also gave money to European countries in return for support.
The concept of "second world countries" is no longer commonly used. It was previously used to refer to communist or socialist countries during the Cold War. Some countries that were historically considered second world included countries like the Soviet Union, China, and Cuba.
There is no universally accepted definition of "third world country" as it was a term used during the Cold War to categorize countries based on political ideologies. However, based on common understanding, roughly one-third of the world's countries could be considered third world countries.
